El Médano is the windsurf and kitesurf capital of Tenerife, located on the south coast of the island. The bay combines accelerated trade winds funnelled by Montaña Roja with a varied playground: flat sections near the launch, side-on chop and small waves, and a more powerful wave section on the outside reef. The town centre sits right behind the beach — short walk between rider, kite school and accommodation.
